How NETWHAT works

Add your asset categories
Go to Assets and choose the categories that apply — cash, savings, stocks, crypto, property and more. You can add custom categories too.

Add your holdings
Inside each category, add your accounts and assets with their current values. Stocks and crypto can pull live prices automatically with a free API key in Settings.

Add any liabilities
Head to Liabilities and add anything you owe — mortgage balance, credit card debt, personal loans. Your net worth is calculated automatically.

Save your first snapshot
Use the Save & Export button in the header to lock in your net worth for the month, so you can track progress over time in History.

Track your bills and expenses
In the Expenses tab, add your recurring subscriptions and bills — they auto-populate each month. Log one-off expenses as they happen.

Back up your data regularly
Your data lives in your browser only. Export a backup regularly — especially before clearing your browser or switching devices.

FAQ

What happens if I clear my browser data?
Your data will be deleted. Always export a backup from Settings before clearing your browser. You can re-import it any time.
Can I use it on multiple devices?
Data doesn't sync automatically. Export from one device and import on another to transfer your data.
Do free and Pro share data?
No — they're kept as separate apps on separate addresses for privacy, so each has its own local data. Export from one and import into the other to move everything across.
Do I need live prices?
No — live prices are optional. They auto-update stocks, crypto, gold and silver but require free API keys. You can enter values manually without them.
Is the password feature secure?
It prevents the app opening without your password but doesn't encrypt your data. Anyone with technical device access can still read it. Use it alongside your device screen lock.
